Spring in the Poconos is a complicated time of year. I mean, it technically starts in March with the rest of the Northern Hemisphere, but that might give you a few misconceptions about what life is actually like during Spring in the Poconos (hint : don’t rule out the snow). If you only visit the Poconos during Summer or Winter, you probably have no idea about the strange transition period that is Springtime in the Poconos.
It is going to be a roller-coaster ride as far as the day-to-day temperatures are concerned. One day it can be 50-60 degrees with a nice breeze and then the next day it’s in the 20s and snowing. I’m not exaggerating either. We will see some snow through the end of March and well into April with some nights getting down around and below freezing. But it’s not really that big of a deal because we know Summer is right around the corner.
