Thornhurst is one of the many small Pocono towns housing clusters of population on the mountain. Nestled into the Lackawanna State Forest and State Game Lands, it is one of many towns through which the Lehigh River rambles.
Fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, or just relaxing under a sky lit up with stars, Thornhurst has everything you could want in a quiet mountain community.
When I was younger, I lived in Arrowhead Lakes and I absolutely loved it. As I became an adult, I searched The Poconos for a more secluded town with less people, a little further in the woods. Then when my girlfriend and I became pregnant with my first child, we had to find a home for our new family, a special place that we could call our own. We had a great Realtor who understood our situation and our needs. With his help we found a great deal on a house in Thornhurst, moved in, and we have been here ever since.
